About me

Hi, I’m Laura. I’m a specialist therapist for people with ADHD.

I’m a therapist for ADHD, with ADHD. You don't have to over-explain or justify your ADHD to me, because I get it.

I know that ADHD affects more than just attention and memory - often showing up as anxiety, burnout, depression, self-criticism, shame or a constant sense of overwhelm.

I understand the challenges of trying to manage ADHD in a world not set up for it.

You dont have to explain to me that suggestions like ‘just be more organised”, “just try harder”, “just be more disciplined”, “just buy a planner” or “just leave on time”, simply just doesn’t cut it.

I know that ADHD isn’t about a lack of effort or a personal failing. You dont need more discipline, you need strategies that actually work for your brain.

I’m passionate about helping people navigate the difficulties of ADHD. I use evidence-based treatment and the latest research to provide tailored strategies to better understand and manage the condition alongside other mental health challenges they may be facing.

My approach is about working with the ADHD, rather than against it.

Break the cycle of:

ADHD therapist with ADHD

I bring both a personal understanding of the condition and professional knowledge on the relevant evidence-based strategies to help manage it.

Specialised, Adapted therapy.

Therapy adapted to you, not the other way around.

Therapy is not a one size fits all approach. I offer specialised and tailored treatment, that is bespoke and centred around your specific needs.

Trauma Informed Approach

I recognise that the challenges of ADHD are often closely linked to past experiences of shame, criticism or rejection.

I look to not just ‘challenge’ thoughts or feelings, but also explore their origins - to identify past experiences that have left us with emotional wounds. This approach helps us understand how these continue to affect our nervous system in the here and now, creating a safe space for self compassion and healing.

Bringing 7+ years of NHS experience

I bring with me six years of clinical experience, working with different populations and various different clinical environments.
